About SocialQuery

We are building the API that replaces your social scraper stack

SocialQuery turns 68+ public platforms into one API key, one schema, and one bill. We manage collection, provider routing, and normalization so your team can ship faster.

Why we exist

Why we built SocialQuery

Public social data powers research, monitoring, AI products, and customer workflows, but each platform arrives with its own parameters, pagination, limits, response fields, and failure modes.

We built SocialQuery so teams can stop carrying a pile of one-off scrapers. The API keeps the messy source work behind a stable contract: one key, one normalized envelope, one usage model, and one place to understand every endpoint.

Before

Six to twelve vendors, each changing on its own schedule.

After

One API key, one schema, and one bill for the whole social data surface.

The product

What we are building

SocialQuery is not another single-source scraper. It is the API layer that replaces the collection stack behind products, reports, automations, and AI agents.

A team can call hundreds of endpoints with the same authentication, request metadata, error model, cache behavior, and response shape. When a platform changes, we absorb that work behind the contract.

GET /v1/tiktok/video
curl "https://socialquery.dev/v1/tiktok/video?url=https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/123" \
  -H "x-api-key: sq_live_..."

{
  "platform": "tiktok",
  "type": "video",
  "author": { "handle": "creator" },
  "metrics": { "views": 1420000 }
}

Universal Search

One endpoint can ask the social web at once.

GET /v1/search/everywhere fans a query across major public sources, ranks the evidence, and returns normalized results with source context.

What we believe

What we believe

Pricing should be transparent

Every endpoint should tell you the credit cost before a request runs, and every response should make usage easy to audit.

Docs should be complete

Humans, agents, and generated clients should all read from the same paths, parameters, examples, and response contracts.

Reliability beats feature count

Provider routing, retries, cache metadata, and stable errors matter more than another endpoint that breaks without context.

Built for people who ship

The API should be usable from a terminal, a product backend, a dashboard job, or an AI agent without a sales call first.

The long term

Where we are going

We are building SocialQuery as long-term developer infrastructure, not a short-lived scraper wrapper. Every week we add coverage, reduce response times, improve source routing, and make the API easier to reason about.

Next comes deeper SDK support, webhooks, team controls, monitoring tools, and more agent-friendly metadata. The goal is simple: the right choice should become obvious because the API keeps proving itself.

Common questions

What is SocialQuery?

SocialQuery is a unified public social data API. One key gives developers structured access to platform data through one schema and one credit system.

Who is SocialQuery for?

It is for developers, data teams, operators, and AI agents that need social context without maintaining a separate scraper or integration for every source.

How is SocialQuery different from web search APIs like Exa or Tavily?

General web search is broad. SocialQuery is focused on social, creator, review, app-store, commerce, and discussion surfaces where authors, engagement, comments, freshness, and platform context matter.

How does pricing work?

New accounts start with free credits. Paid packs are one-time purchases, credits do not expire, and endpoint pages show the expected cost before you call them.

Who builds SocialQuery?

SocialQuery is built by a small product team focused on developer infrastructure, API reliability, and agent-ready social data workflows.
