The public G2 directory lists software and services categories. This operation takes no parameters and returns the full available directory page in its source order. Each items entry contains G2’s numeric id as a string, URL slug, source name, displayed label, parent_label and url. The parent label is source text, not an inferred parent ID or a guarantee of a unique parent. Source URL casing and trailing hyphens are preserved. total counts returned category entries; it does not count products. next_cursor is null. The directory can change. This endpoint does not return products, rankings, filter counts or historical category snapshots. The adapter uses one fresh basic Firecrawl fetch of the exact public G2 page. Redirected, failed or inconsistent pages are rejected rather than treated as empty successes. A successful fresh request uses the documented SocialQuery price; cached responses and successful idempotent replays are free.
