Congressional Trades by Party
Native disclosed trade counts by democrat, republican and other, reconciled with the complete current Capitol Trades index. No query parameters. History is limited by the source to three years; counts are not extrapolated from sample rows.
trade_count is the source’s total disclosure count for each party. Counts come from native filtered totals, not an estimate from sampled rows. The three counts must sum to total_disclosures, independently read from the unfiltered index. share is the party count divided by the total, or zero for an empty index. Three groups are always returned, including zero-count groups.
The adapter verifies source provenance, exact filter metadata, complete first pages, row parties and rendered disclosure IDs. Party pages must not overlap, and every first-page unfiltered disclosure must also appear in a party page. A mismatch fails without charging, rather than returning a partial breakdown. The four reads are independent; concurrent source changes can require a retry.
The source limits its history to three years. These are its current indexed counts, not lifetime trading activity or complete government filings. retrieved_at is when collection began, not the source’s last-updated time. This endpoint does not estimate trading value, profitability or transaction direction.
One fresh aggregate uses four existing Firecrawl basic-transport reads with a shared 55-second deadline and a 4 MiB decoded HTML limit per page. A shared allowance of four aggregate requests per minute bounds source traffic. Scripts are parsed as data and never executed. No new provider key or account is required.
A fresh response with at least one disclosure costs 1 credit. An empty index, errors, cache hits and successful idempotent replays cost zero. Use X-Max-Credits: 1. Existing approved Firecrawl free allowance only.Authorizations

Optional nonnegative integer cap on the maximum request hold. A live request whose hold exceeds this cap returns 422 CREDIT_BUDGET_EXCEEDED before spending. Metered holds use the requested limit; cache hits and successful idempotent replays cost zero.
